Everyone taking an exam at any of the locations must show a government-issued photo ID.
(Contact the Office of Indiana State Chemist for alternative identification) A person is allowed 3 attempts in 12 months to pass an exam, beginning on the date of the first exam.
The Office of Indiana State Chemist offers exam-only opportunities for applicants who prefer to self-study (i.e., take their exams without training). Exams are available free of charge at Purdue’s West Lafayette campus. Contact the Office of Indiana State Chemist or call 765-494-1594 for examination dates and to register for exams in West Lafayette.
Exams are also available by appointment, for a fee, at select Ivy Tech Learning Centers around the state. Click here to learn more about, and to register for, exams at these Learning Centers.

Applicants may choose to attend Core training programs offered by Purdue Pesticide Programs. Core training sessions are optional, day-long events with exams offered at the end of their respective training days. Contact The Purdue Education Store or 765-494-6794 to inquire about training.
